Virgin F1 technical director rues hydraulic issues

New Virgin F1 team technical director is spoken about the reliability issues that have seriously impaired on the teams pre-season testing. Both drivers Timo Glock and Lucas Di Grassi have so far only been able to mange just over 144 circuit laps between the two of them. At the four day Jerez test, the VR-01 repeatedly had to deal with hydraulic problems.
When you compare this to other F1 newcomer Lotus, who have completed 315 laps during the testing at the Spanish circuit. Team driver Jarno Trulli completed just over 141 laps. The new Ferrari car completed well over a thousand laps over the three testing sessions that they participated in.

Lotus unveil new F1 car

The re-launched Lotus Formula One team officially launched there new car for the 2010 campaign on Friday. The Cosworth Powered T127 was unveiled in the UK. The new team, backed by Malaysian investors are one of the four new teams entering the championship this season. This will be the first time since 1994 that the famous Lotus name has been on the Formula One circuit.
Driving for the team for 2010 are ex Toyota star Jarno Trulli and former Mclaren driver Heikki Kovalainen. Both drivers where there at the unveiling of the T127 as the wraps came of the new car, in the famous yellow and green livery at London’s Royal Horticulural Halls.
